Work Designs uses CNC routing to sculpt dimensional lettering and engraved surfaces. In addition to signs, the CNC router is also used to create precision parts and for other applications such as stencils, flexible gaskets, plastic machining, plastic control tags, and switch boards.
Using specialized software, our designers are able to output digital vector files that provide the router with instructions for bit revolution rate as well as cut speed and depth. These files are archived once the job is complete so that items can be reproduced at a later date.
Work Designs maintains a selection of specialized bits for use with different materials and for achieving a variety of results. This allows the router to make accurate cuts into a variety of substances, including: Alumalite, HDU (High Density Urethane), Rowmark, Gravoply, LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene), MDF (Medium Density Fiber Board), MDO (Medium Density Overlay), Plexi-Glass, Acrylic Sheeting, PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride), Wood, Light Gauge Aluminum, and Plastic.
